creative card crew

This week over at CCC is called scallops, so here is my entry, i made this for a friends sister, i actually think this one looks good for a change lol.

To make this card i used;

• sugar nellie shopping image
• circle nestie scallops
• image coloured with promarkers
• fabric flowers
• dovecraft papers from the glamour range
• gems
• peel offs for text
• lace ribbon from trimcraft

Papertake weekly, black and white plus one

Here is a notebook that i made today and it fits well within this weeks black and white plus one other colour challenge over at papertake weekly,

To make this book i used;

• charcoal paper pack from dovecraft
• woodware daisy punches to make the flower
• pink glitter card
• black 1/2 in wires
• pink and black gems

As im quite new to notebooks this probably seems a little plain, but i think its not too bad?? i bought one of those memo block for the papers inside as they come in the handy size i like to use, you just have to make sure its good quality paper inside and not the really cheap looking stuff lol, mine was actually from wilkos and only cost £2 and will make dozens of books :-)

C.R.A.F.T meets OCC and CCC

This card actually covers 3 challenges which i think is pretty good going lol.

They are;

1. Our creative corner-Monochromatic mania
2. C.R.A.F.T- No backing papers
3. Creative card crew-decorate the inside of your card

this card was made for an order i recieved and actually almost forgot to do it by the deadline which is tomorrow (phew)

To make this card i used the following;

• sizzix baby die cuts
• scallop circle nesties
• woodware buttons
• flowers from local craft shop
• skoosky sizzix alphabet for name
• ribbon from pda
• gems of ebay
• card blank made from a4 sheet of card

I just hope this will be ok as the person who ordered it just wanted me to come up with something to make it and had no input at all.

papertake weekly-faking it

The challenge over at PTW is called faking it this week which means fake stitching/flowers/ribbons etc, i did some good old fake stitching like i tend to do on alot of my cards as i think its very effective,

I made this card at one of our craft group sessions where we were all given a goody bag from the lovely elke with the exact same stash in it and we all had to come up with something, mine was slightly different originally than this as when i got home i added a few bits to it,

This card was ordered by a friend for a friend lol so i hope they both like it?

To make this card i used;

• dovecraft gem brads
• holographic butterfly peel off (in the goody bag)
• all the papers/flowers/ribbon etc was in the bag so cant say where from sorry

charisma cardz - flower power 37

This card is for the charisma challenge this week called flower power, i made this with my whiff of joy image that a friend stamped for me, i really must buy some they are gorgeous, this layout is quite a simple one but i was havin brain fog that day lol, i inked around the edges with light brown ink to decorate.

To make this card i used;

• basic grey backing papers
• woj image from this years kit, sorry not sure which one it is
• pearl gems from ebay
• ribbon from craft central
• dovecraft brads in natural
• hobbycraft inks in brown
• matted and layered with pink and brown card
• flowers from my local craft shop

a sympathy card

I was asked to make a sympathy card a few days ago, as its always a shame when you have to make one of these i decided not to use a challenge for it and keep it simple, i embossed the vellum and then cut it with my nesties to create the backing for the flowers, and used my ribbon punch on the sentiment so i could thread through the lace,

To make this card i used

• oval scallop nesties
• vellum
• paisley cuttlebug embossing folder
• lace
• sentiment from stash
• card candy from craftwork cards
• backing paper is a pearly paper from papermill i think
• flowers are from my local craft shop.

A fairly simple design i think but appropriate for the cause, what do you think?

friday sketchers 69 card

Here is my take on this weeks sketch over at friday sketchers, this was a fun card to make,

this card was ordered from a friend so i hope she likes it?it is for her mum so later i will just add on the mum bit when i find out how she wants it putting.

PTW meets daring cardmakers

Tonight was my weekly night for going to my local craft group and as the centre have shut up for refurbishment,i managed to get hubby to let me dissappear for a bit in my craft area, as i was limited to tim i only made 1 card but went of 2 challenges, so here goes,

Allsorts challenge week 15

This week over on allsorts it is a sketch challenge with the added theme of torn edges, i quite liked the sketch so thought id give it a go, i tore down all the edges of the paper by hand,and rather than use a stamp as i often do (im addicted to stamping) i decided on these lovely flowers with a lovely lace backing.

To make this card i used:

• making memories backing papers fresh anthology-eliza
• sentiment is from a hampton art,studio g stamp pack
• flowers from stash
• gorgeous lace ribbon from trimcraft
• silver gems were brought from ebay
• sakura souffle pen to do the edges

This is really a simple card to make but i think it looks really pretty, what do you think? it took me about 1 hour to put together.

a card for 3 challenges

This card has been made with 3 challenges in mind,

1. Passion for pro-markers - week 3 colour combo is pumpkin and cinnamon, mostly used except the grass/hair and face,
2. Sketch and stash - challenge 12, my new stash is all my lovely promarkers and the gems,
3. Secret crafter saturday challenge #35 - bling, ive used pearl gems and brads to add a bit of bling,

1. Abc challenge- P is for pearls
2. Colour create- wk 17 lemon, pink sorbet and chocolate

this card was quite simple to make, i coloured the flowers to make them the right shade with my promarkers, the backing paper has a lovely shade of yellow in but you cant quite see it through my rubbish photography lol,

To make this card i used,

• pink pearls from stash (bought from ebay)

• sakura clear stardust pen used on the swirls on bp for glitter effect

This card was made from the following two challenges,

1. A spoon full of sugar -challenge 53 lace
2. Creative card crew-challenge 12 pretty flowers

It was actuallyquite easy to make, this lace wasnt on a roll its from loads of old cut offs but i thought it would still look ok? i put in some eyelets just to add that bit extra,

This is the last card for today, and i must say that i really like this one, i made this card using 3 challenges,

1. A spoon full of sugar #50 - touchy feely. I used the flowers for this,
2. Creative card crew #9 - everyone emboss. I used an embossing pen,
3. Abc - M is for metallic.I used brads and eyelets,
