I have quite a few male birthdays coming up so i decided to make a male card for the challenges,

To make this card i used,

• Image is loving edwin from magnolia
• promarkers to colour in
• white vellum
• dovecraft brads
• handmade paper given to me by a crafting friend so not sure where its from
• nestibilities scallop circle
• white sakura pen for faux stitching
• happy birthday text is from my see ds collection
• stickles glitter
• pearlescent card bland from craft central
• 3d foam to give image a bit of a lift

decoupage card for 3 challenges

Sorry this photo hasnt come out at all well, i made this card for a older friend of mine who specifically asked for decoupage, so i trawled through my many blog challenges and came across 3 that i could combine, they are:

1. Saturday challenge #39 is 3 ribbons
2. C.R.A.F.T challenge #7 is decoupage
3. Creative card crew #18 is ribbons

To make this card i used my

• wild asparagus backing papers
• flower decoupage from a cd i have
• wine coloured organza ribbon from the range
• wine coloured pearl gems bought from ebay
• happy birthday from see ds stamp set
• gold shiny card for matting an layering (is from a indian friend of mine who bought it from a specialist shop as it has oils in it for her daughters wedding,its gorgeous)

this card was really easy to make and the decoupage is made with silicone instead of 3d pads so i could give it some shape and i didnt want it too thick,

cupcake sketch

Ive been on a bit of a roll the last couple of days, as i can only really make cards when my son is at pre-school ive been really knuckling down as ive a few birthdays coming up and want to try get ahead

red,white and blue plus 1 star

This card is quite a simple take on the stamptacular challenge n0 12, which as the title says red white and blue plus 1 star,

To make this card i used;

• hand stamped backing paper made from see ds background and borders set in red ink
• all ribbons from craft central
• blue peel off free from magazine
• star sticker from woolworths (what was lol)
• red/blue holographis card for layering star
• sakura pen for doodling round the edges
  

CPS challenge card

Here is my entry for this weeks CPS121 sketch,

I made this card using;

• dovecraft masculine backing papers
• nestibilities scallop circles
• blue holographic card
• blue sakura stardust pen
• diamond stickles
• text is from see ds

i added the stickles to parts of the backing paper to add some sparkle, and doubled up the star on the front,

i inked up the edge of the card blank for that bit extra, hope you like it this is my first ever attempt at paper piecing.

one for the boys

This is my entry for the challenge over on stamptacular sunday, i made this for my dads birthday just gone, the dad is a die cut from the sizzix azure range i got them from a friend, and i know just have to have a set,

To make this card i used;

• sizzix azure alphabet
• see ds birthday stamp set
• black gems of ebay
• matted and layered with brown/purple two tone card and pearlescent card blank
• ribbon from craft central
• and sakura pens to doodle in black

pretty flowers an lace

This card was made from the following two challenges,

1. A spoon full of sugar -challenge 53 lace
2. Creative card crew-challenge 12 pretty flowers

It was actuallyquite easy to make, this lace wasnt on a roll its from loads of old cut offs but i thought it would still look ok? i put in some eyelets just to add that bit extra,

• stamping up backing papers
• a mixture of flowers from stash inc laura ashley
• lace
• eyelets in natural from dovecraft
• text is see ds birthday set
• brad from dovecraft brights

OCC sketch

This card i made from the challenge over on our creative corner, this week its a sketch as shown above my entry, the card itself was made for my sisters upcoming birthday,

To make this card i used;

• backing paper is one of the free floral doodle printables i got from makinghandmadecards.com
• image is designs by leere and is called party girl
• crystal glamour dust stuck down by dst
• sakura pens
• water brush markers for the image
• pigment ink from hobby craft to ink up the sides
• text is see ds coloured in with sakura glaze pen
• holographic card
• pink card for the a5 card blank and matting is from papermill
• white vellum

This card was made using 3 different challenges:

1. creative card crew # 10 -minimal
2. just magnolia wk 4 -in stitches (pin pricked edges and faux stitches with white pen)
3. secret crafter saturday challenges # 31 -brads or eyelets

To make this card i used:

• Image is tilda with glasses, coloured in with brush pens
• backing paper is papermania amethyst infusions
• brush fine brush markers
• sakura stardust/souffle and fine liners
• papermania gem brads 8mm
• text stamped with see ds
• 5x5 in card blank
• free hand drawn thought bubble

stamptacular sunday challenge #6

This card was made from the sketch above over at stamptacular sunday #6, i coloured the image in with my brush markers and water pen, the pink and black card is from my card stack that i bought from the readers union craft club, the card blank is from tesco and was a bargain as its quite thick.

What i used to make this card:

• image is from the claire curd papermanie range its called party
• backing papers are the dovecraft charcoal prints
• velvet ribbon from the smirk range
• text stamped from the see ds birthday and ladies fashion collection
• pens used are brushfine brush markers to colour image/sakura stardust to doodle edges and inks from hobbycraft to do edges of card blank.
• a 5x5 inch card blank from tesco

I made this card in about an hour an half as my little 6 week old boy kept crying so was a bit of a stop start attempt lol, what do you think??

a card for 3 challenges

This is the last card for today, and i must say that i really like this one, i made this card using 3 challenges,

1. A spoon full of sugar #50 - touchy feely. I used the flowers for this,
2. Creative card crew #9 - everyone emboss. I used an embossing pen,
3. Abc - M is for metallic.I used brads and eyelets,

• dovecraft metallic eyelets and brads

This card was made from the sketch from papertake weekly above, and the challenge from cute card thursday #58 which was called mirror mirror,

I made this card using

• papermania for him colossal paper pack,
• magnolia bartender edwin stamp,
• see ds for the text,
• blue mirror card,
• blue gems from ebay,
• sakura stardust pen in blue and sakura white pen
• watermarkers for colouring in,
• hobbycraft inks.

I doodled around the edges of the papers and the card blank for a bit of an extra effect.

I made this card from the sketch and stash challenge blog, it was made it for my mums mothers day card,

The card was made with the papermania amethyst infusions backing papers, and the lovely pickles an onion from daisy and dandelion range, the mulberry flowers are also from papermania,and the lilac card has been stamped with my see ds backing stamp. the greeting was hand written. all the doodling was with my sakura pens.

sketch an stash like you to use something new on your project, for this i used my new watercolour pencils to colour in with and stamp.

another challenge card

Here is my card that i made for 3 challenges combined.

I have worked from http://abc-challenge.blogspot.com/ which was Y is for yesteryear which was basically wanting you to use a stamp you have had for ages, i chose to use my see ds backing stamp with flowers on which i got of ebay as a set when i very first started out about 14 months ago and also the image stamp ive had for about 12 months, i got it from craft central but doesnt have a make on it so not sure where its from,might be a papermania or anitas attic????

I also went of the theme on http://dutchdare-cardchallenges.blogspot.com/ which were asking you to make a thankyou card.
And finally i chose to use the sketch from http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/ as it looked like a really nice sketch to work with.

cupcake craft challenge sketch 23

I thought id have a go at one last challenge for today, so here we go.... my take on the sketch from http://cupcakecraftchallenges.blogspot.com/ i thought id do something a little less girly.

The card is all pearlescent and looked really good i thought? i used some ribbon i got from craft central, and the stamp is from my see ds collection, again the photo isnt quite as light as i would have liked but not too bad, the card is supposed to be blue/shiny gold and white/gold. i have matted all the card and put 3d squares on the stamped card to give some depth, to finish of the look i just doodled around all the edges with my black stardust sakura pen. i would love your feed back.
