above are a few of my new cards, various types, ive not had much time on my hands for crafting of late and we are decorating at the moment so all the clothes and furniture etc have gone in craft room so cant even get in there now lol, will get back into it after christmas hopefully, then when new baby arives not sure how i will fit everything in lol.

cute card thursday challenge

Here is my random design card for this weeks challenge, i used a penny black stamp for this as i love them, and all other stamps to think of it lol, and some organza ribbon to jazz it up, the paper was out of a special paper pack i bought from the works,

well to start things of those pictures i wanted to show you all of the new christmas cards i'd made (and was rather proud of) have gone forever (boo hoo) as my hubby didn't actually save them as he had been sure he'd done, and now i have made some new creations to upload that i have saved to my own pc he has lost the cable so no pictures yet im afraid grrrr, i will upload when it comes to light.

i will be around looking at blogs and making the odd card but as its christmas i wont be online regular as we are sooo busy, were also decorating our bedroom (i know what a time to do this)

im also getting quite tired these days with the pregnancy but all is well so shouldn't complain,
so anyway to finish my ramblings i want to wish all my blog visitors a very merry christmas, have a great day with family/friends etc, and i will see you all very soon

my little boys crafting at pre-school

Isnt this just the cutest thing you ever seen? my little boy who isnt quite 3 yet came home from pre-school with this piece of art, i was quite surprised as

its really good for his age i actually checked to see if it was his but it was, he was soo pleased with himself too. it thought id put it on here as i would consider it crafting lol. what do you think? do i have a budding crafter on my hands?

new baby card

this is a card i made for a member of the family, i used the jollynation new mum decoupage sheet, i think its really nice, and my dovecraft kids backing paper, silver peel offs for the name etc.

they were really pleased with it as id put babies name and weight on it to make it personal. it was a quick fix to be honest as id forgot about the card, but i think it turned out alright?

just a chat

well i went to put my christmas cards on my blog for you too see and my daft hubby had deleted them grrr, what can you do he's only a man, luckily he had saved them to his laptop first but i am still waiting for him to copy them on to mine so i can show them to you.

also ive not been around much lately as ive been concentrating my time trying to sell some of our unwanted new and used stuff on ebay to try and help pay for this christmas, so must apologise if there hasn't been alot of activity here lately,

im off for a mexican tonight with my work friends and im hoping to wind down and chill out iin the process? and get cracking with my cards again,

ive also ordered a guillotine so still awaiting its arrival, im hoping to get it soon as im making some notebooks etc for christmas, anyway enough of the rambling i think, lol

I'm really pleased with myself at the moment, when i went to work yesterday one of my colleagues bought a couple of my cards but also asked me to make her at least 10 for Xmas, i couldn't believe my luck as things have been a bit slow lately,you know what its like you have alot of work on one moment and nothing for ages lol. so Ive just got to get making them now, she just wants some of my more simpler designs so shouldn't take me too long to do, i need to go and get some stickles though because theres 2 colours i really want and don't yet have so I'm going to get some later. i will post some pics when i have made them to show you what Ive done,

new look for my blog

well how do you like my new blog face lift? i think it was well needed as it was a bit too pink, my very good friend Jilly at http://jillyscreations.blogspot.com/ did it for me this morning over a cuppa, i picked all the elements but she applied them for me, I'm really pleased with it.

all day christmas craftathon

a couple of weeks ago i went to an all day craft class where we concentrated on making Christmas cards, during the class we were shown 4 different type of folds (PICTURED ABOVE) to use when making our cards, we were supposed to be making 6 cards but due to far to much chatting (as you do) and a bit of a skill mix we just did the 4, it was a really good day and well worth the £30 as we had buffet dinner and drinks plus a goody bag at the end, this was all done by phill who is on the trimcraft forum but runs his own shop in notts and also has a online shop http://honeypotcrafts.co.uk/index.html he sells penny black/woodware/BIA and loads of other treats we would all love to own lol,

not been around much this last week

Well its been a busy week for me, Ive have had a few nights out to go to and my little boy Alex is poorly with a cough and cold bless him he is only 3, and now i seem to be catching it too.
Also Ive been concentrating most of my time helping him with his potty/toilet training, he has been without a nappy for a week I'm so proud of him, considering he's ill he has done brilliantly.

On a more crafting note Ive finally had a play with my BIA which Ive had for few weeks, but i really need a guillotine to cut my own pages as Ive been struggling alot to make them all pristine, any advice in type would be appreciated lol, and also managed to do a couple of Xmas cards so not done too badly,

penny black saturday challenge no 19

here is my very first ever atc, its my attempt for the

http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/ i thought id do bright sunny colours as we didnt really get any outside lol, its a penny black stamp with mulberry flowers and glitter card, i coloured it in with my watercolour pencils.

......for my friend Jilly's birthday, i was worried about this card turning out ok as it was a bit different to what i usually do, but i think it turned out ok? well Jilly seemed to like it anyway lol, i used my laura ashley contemporary papers for this as id not used them much and i think there quite elegant, then made the flower using my daisy punches that i love lol, then used my gold glamour dust to decorate appropriately. the photo doesnt show of how glittery an shiny this card is but if you pop to jilly's blog http://jillyscreations.blogspot.com/ she has a better picture of it along with all her other hand made cards she recieved,

my most favourite pastime lol

i was looking through my photos and came across this, isn't he just sooo gorgeous, this is my little man Alex. i thought id pop it on because it cheers me up lol, its the excitement he shows that tickles me, its just like me when i go into a craft shop or come across a bargain lol,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JILLY

today is my good friend Jilly's birthday, as she is a complete blog addict i thought i would use this way to greet her a happy birthday lol, we shall be going for few drinks tonight at the local pub to celebrate.

a friends birthday card

well this is not my best piece of work but its nice, i made this yesterday for a friend of mine she is only in her early 20s so i thought that it was appropriate? it is her birthday on Wednesday so was in a bit of a rush to get something made for her, i also made my other friend Jilly's card but will upload that after her birthday as she is a avid blogger( http://jillyscreations.blogspot.com/ )so i don't want her to see it till her birthday lol, the card was made using dovecraft glamour papers and one of my handbag templates, also I'm loving my daisy punches too so had to make my own flower as well,hope she will like it?

monday morning crafting (5)

well today we thought we would have a go at making a wallet card as Ive never made one of those before, Jilly showed me how to make one and i was surprised at how simple they were, also as a bonus we decided to do one of the sketch challenges, we had a look around blog land and decided upon this one on http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/ it is a fairly simple sketch to do as my inspiration has been lacking of late i didn't want anything to intricate lol. monday morning crafting session (4)

well today we decided to have a stamping session so we could do some swaps, so we haven't made a card today but now we have loads of images to colour and have a play with and i have a few ideas of cards i would like to make, will have to post pics of those lol, ive also been to craft central and got a few bits so will be having a play with those later too.

christmas card inspiration

this is just another Xmas card i made after having a go at a challenge and really liking the sketch, i used one of the PB Christmas critters stamps, and my dovecraft Christmas paper pack, i wasn't sure about it whilst making it but i think it turned out ok?

monday morning crafting with jilly (3)

this weeks session was from jillys making cards creative christmas magazine, we chose to do a slider card as we had never made one and thought it would be fun, i made mine using white glitter card for the snow and blue backing paper for the sky, i used a die cut snowman as the main picture which im not really 100% happy with but its ok, you cant really see from the picture but ive also used silver glamour dust as snowflakes in the blue background, and theres also glamour dust on the snowman, this card was a lot of fun to make and im going to do another but try to make it as a birthday card, will have to post when ive done it, go and check out jilly's take on the same theme over at http://www.jillyscreations.blogspot.com/

i have another new toy....... my hubby has let me get the bind it all but not only that he has let me buy the gadgets and tote for it too, you may be thinking what a lucky sod but there was something in it for him lol,i may have mentioned before but he is getting a new motorbike at the weekend so its guilt buying, i don't mind what it is i got my BIA I'm soooo chuffed lol. cant wait to get stuck in, im going to make some xmas presents with it, will post some pictures when ive had a go.

the first one i made for a family members 18th he is a training chef so i used some backing paper i got free with a magazine and the second one i made today after getting some inspiration from a card i made of a challenge blog which i havent uploaded as of yet,the colour hasnt come out too well but its actually black and white with some silver on it.

im a very lucky girl

I cant quite believe it yet, its still sinking in lol but my darling hubby has bought me my very own laptop ;.) im absolutely amazed lol, ive been asking for one for ages but he always laughed at me, but then our pc broke down and we decided to get a shared laptop but then out of the blue he said i could have my own and he bought a second hand one of a friend and i had a new one (wahey) he has also let me buy all the bind it all stuff to (double wahey) you would start to think he's feeling guilty for something but i know the real reason lol, he is upgrading the motorbike to his dream bike so he's trying to make amends for spending a fortune on that,
well im taking advantage whilst i can, this wont last for long....

crafting morning

on monday me and my friend jilly had a crafting session, as im struggling with inspiration at the moment we decided to have a go at one of the blog challenges, after having a look at several we chose http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/ as our source. we had a lot of fun as this is a mans card but no blue lol its a lot harder than we thought because as we looked through my masculine backing papers we realised they were all blue in one way or another so we made our own backgrounds lol, i made mine by cutting out a piece of card and stamping the bakground on with my see ds stamps, i was really pleased with the outcome, i used my penny black stamp from the bubbly range and used my white pen to add depth, i was really pleased with the result, to see jilly's interpretation of the same theme take a look here http://jillyscreations.blogspot.com/ we will try to make this a regular thing if our little boys will let us lol.

craft central bargains

ive just called in to craft central in derby today and they are selling thier anitas and papermania stamps and some other papermania stuff on buy one get one free, some bargains to be had there i had to buy some stamps as im a bit of a stamping addict lol, i got 5 stamps a 6x6 paper pad and some brads for £9 not bad value i think.

a few cards ive made

here are a few cards ive made in the recent past,the last one was for a challeng on one of my old card craft groups, its a iris fold train ad is cotton wool for the steam, actually like this one lol.

well im finally starting to get the hang of this blogging lark

thanks to my good friend jilly who is the master of MY computer lol im slowly getting the hang of how to do my blog, its still not too exciting right now but hopefully ill be having a go at some blog challenges etc over the next few weeks???? well that is if i can remember how jilly told me to do it lol. if im actually lucky enough that someone other than me is reading this please add me to yours and ill do the same.

early recycled chistmas cards

well here are a few of my chistmas cards... 2 have recycled bits on from old cards and 2 have the new christmas paper on from dovecraft, im not pleased with all of them but they will do lol,

my new toy.......im sooo excited

well here it is my long awaited cuttlebug, my oh finally relented and let me buy either this or the big shot and after much deliberation i chose this and im well pleased with myself, i got it of cuttingedgecrafts.co.uk for £72 with the embossing folders you can see and it was free p&p a bargain if you ask me?? well im off to play with it now yay.

this is another card that was ordered for a 21st, the pic is not great but im no david bailey lol. its made using feathers and the hint of pink papers, i made a gold one of these too as they were for twins.

these were my first attempts at a diamond fold card, i got the instructions of my good friend jilly, her blogs jilly's creations, im very pleased with them, the xmas one is for family in oz, let me know what you think of them.

well here's one of my master pieces lol, i made it for a friend for her daughters 21st, she wanted a red modern feel to it with name and age, hope i made it as she wanted?? the flowers at the bottom i made using my daisy punches and used peel offs and sticky ribbons.

my very first post

hello everyone,
Im very new to all this so im not sure what to put but here goes....ive been making cards for about 10 months and can honestly say that its taken over my life (well not completely lol) i bought a small starter kit to keep me occupied when my little one has gone to bed but now i have taken over the spare room with all my stuff, my OH often comments on how much i have and of course how much i spend.
i have alot of pics to show you of the cards i have made but have not yet managed to get them on here,although i will. so please come back and take a look but remember im no proffesional, i try my best to make a nice personal card and sometimes they look good other times not so good, but i always appreciate your comments.
