wow i cant believe it

Im amazed and shocked, after a few weeks of hinting my hubby has finally relented and agreed i can have the new full set of 56 promarkers, honestly im actually stunned as ive bought a few things recently and he told me to give it a break from buying craft stuff,so when he agreed last night i ordered them straightaway in case he changed his mind lol. he did ask me to make this my last purchase for a while but i think thats fair enough lol.

its colouring in techniques at our creative craft group tuesday night but i dont think my new pens will have arrived by then,i have around 60 or so pens so far so this will really boost my total, im just so over the moon i had to share it with someone who appreciates a crafters passion lol.

daring card makers - folding up

Over at DCM the challenge this week is folding,either the paper on your card or the card itself, i made this card fro my friend who had a little boy, ive never made a card like this before but it was fun so be prepared to see more,

charisma challenge # 39 is decoupage

Well as is the theme for me at the moment ive created another christmas card lol, the challenge over at charisma this week is decoupage so i cut up this lovely image and got my squares out, and was quite pleased with the end result, its much more colourful and sparkly in real life than in the picture.

The things i used to make this card are;

a spoon full of sugar #71

The challenge at a spoonful of sugar is christmas this week, so here is my entry, im really behind on my christmad cards and have loads to make (yes i know its only september) but the weeks go by so fast dont they?

To make this card i used;

• last years christmas paper pack from dovecraft
• card candy from craftwork cards
• white sakura pen for faux stitching
• dufex sticker matted and layered onto light blue card

a really simple card and simple to put together only took around 15 minutes

Papertake weekly, black and white plus one

Here is a notebook that i made today and it fits well within this weeks black and white plus one other colour challenge over at papertake weekly,

To make this book i used;

• charcoal paper pack from dovecraft
• woodware daisy punches to make the flower
• pink glitter card
• black 1/2 in wires
• pink and black gems

As im quite new to notebooks this probably seems a little plain, but i think its not too bad?? i bought one of those memo block for the papers inside as they come in the handy size i like to use, you just have to make sure its good quality paper inside and not the really cheap looking stuff lol, mine was actually from wilkos and only cost £2 and will make dozens of books :-)

C.R.A.F.T meets OCC and CCC

This card actually covers 3 challenges which i think is pretty good going lol.

They are;

1. Our creative corner-Monochromatic mania

3. Creative card crew-decorate the inside of your card

this card was made for an order i recieved and actually almost forgot to do it by the deadline which is tomorrow (phew)

I just hope this will be ok as the person who ordered it just wanted me to come up with something to make it and had no input at all.

sketch and stash challenge card

This card was also ordered for a little girls 3rd birthday, as she is so young i thought it had to be pinks, i had fun with this sketch too which is from sketch and stash, and my old stash that ive never used is all the backing papers that where yet to be opened, and i must say i quite like them.

To make this card i used;

• the 3 was made with my sizzix alphabet (lipstick love letters)

another challenge card

A friend of mine asked me to make a card fro one of her friends who is a music teacher, she specifically asked for this sentiment and for it to be piano/guitar orientated.

I chose to follow the sketch over at just christmas and birthday cards as it looked like a fun one to try, and it was.

To make this card i used:

• guitar was made by hand following a picture out of one of my books

papertake weekly-faking it

The challenge over at PTW is called faking it this week which means fake stitching/flowers/ribbons etc, i did some good old fake stitching like i tend to do on alot of my cards as i think its very effective,

I made this card at one of our craft group sessions where we were all given a goody bag from the lovely elke with the exact same stash in it and we all had to come up with something, mine was slightly different originally than this as when i got home i added a few bits to it,

This card was ordered by a friend for a friend lol so i hope they both like it?

• holographic butterfly peel off (in the goody bag)

charisma cardz - flower power 37

This card is for the charisma challenge this week called flower power, i made this with my whiff of joy image that a friend stamped for me, i really must buy some they are gorgeous, this layout is quite a simple one but i was havin brain fog that day lol, i inked around the edges with light brown ink to decorate.

To make this card i used;

• woj image from this years kit, sorry not sure which one it is

• hobbycraft inks in brown

a sympathy card

I was asked to make a sympathy card a few days ago, as its always a shame when you have to make one of these i decided not to use a challenge for it and keep it simple, i embossed the vellum and then cut it with my nesties to create the backing for the flowers, and used my ribbon punch on the sentiment so i could thread through the lace,

• paisley cuttlebug embossing folder
• lace
• sentiment from stash
• card candy from craftwork cards
• backing paper is a pearly paper from papermill i think
• flowers are from my local craft shop.

A fairly simple design i think but appropriate for the cause, what do you think?

ABC design team call

Over on the abc challenge blog they are doing a design team call, and changing there challenges from weekly to fortnightly, to put yourself forward to join the team you have to:

2. Choose your 3 favourite cards and add them to the post. Please show in these cards what you determine your style to be.

I thought that i would try my luck and give it a go, i really struggled to choose just 3 projects i started with 7 and narrowed it down best i could, the projects i chose all have stamped images on and coloured with my beloved promarkers, so i would say my style mainly is stamping but i love all forms of card making from decoupage to flowers and lace, pretty much everything really. my passion is stamping firstly though and seem to be getting an impressive stamp collection.These photo's dont look to fab but thats something im working on at the moment lol,

• The first card was made using my cuttlebug and i made the daisy's with my punches,the image is a leanne ellis sugar nellie,

• The second is a notebook i made using one of my magnolias and a bit of ribbon,

• The third is another sugar nellie card with punched out daisy's

Well you never know your luck in a raffle as they say so ill be keeping my fingers crossed.

MME card bloom and grow for fun

Here is another card i have made just for fun, it was made using the new bloom and grow range from my minds eye, with just added gold border and corner peeloffs, i know this is simple but was so easy to make and only took around 15 mins to put togetherm

• clear sakura stardust on the decoupage for extra shine

simplicity in every way lol, but not bad for a quickie.

another dufex christmas card

Here is another christmas card i made with my dufex stickers, i matted it up on the lovely metallics dcwv matt stack, i know dufex isnt to everyones taste but i think for christmas its especially suitable? what do you think? this card isnt for any challenge i just made it at my local crafting group that i go to each tuesday evening creative craft group everyone is welcome its £4 for 2 hours with cuppa and nibblies included (not bad hey)

Cute card thursday-new beginnings

Over at CCT challenge 75 is called new beginnings wether it be new baby,new job etc i chose to do a new home card as my little sister has not long moved into her first little flat, its quite a simple design made mainly with backing papers and my trusty sakura pens.

This card was made by using;

• backing papers are out of my scraps box so cant remember which they are sorry (i was in a recycling mood)

new promarker colours to be released

For those of you who dont know yet letraset are releasing 56 new pro marker colours!! isnt that just fab????they are being released mid sept i think?

im so chuffed but my hubby had a small heart attack when i told him lol, ive collected 60 or 70 of the original so still have a way to go yet but im really excited.us pro marker fans will be catching up to copics in no time lol.

PTW meets daring cardmakers

Tonight was my weekly night for going to my local craft group and as the centre have shut up for refurbishment,i managed to get hubby to let me dissappear for a bit in my craft area, as i was limited to tim i only made 1 card but went of 2 challenges, so here goes,
