a card i made for 3 challenges

For this card i used 3 different challenge blogs, i felt i needed a little help deciding what to make for my mums birthday card,

I decided to go from Cute Card Thursday challenge #49 animal magic,

Charisma Cardz challenge #8 animals,

and One Stop Craft Challenges challenge #18 simply stunning, which was to use NO backing papers at all on your card,

I tried for ages to get a decent photo but the lighting was just terrible so the card looks duller than it actually is, i embossed lines onto the card blank for a bit of pattern, and used a mum ribbon i got free from a magazine, the image is from the new daisy and dandelion range i just couldnt resist the gorgeous elephant he is just soo cute i coloured him in with my watercolour pencils, and matted it up with 3d squares. and finally i inked up the sides with lilac ink.

This candy i won on rachels blog, i couldnt believe it, it was the first ever thing to win since card making over a year ago, there was 2 cuttlebug folders a basic grey 6x6 paper pad and some ribbons, so imagine my surprise when i won this one below too,

over on steph's blog, im over the moon with it recieved it this morning and it is fab, i cant wait to have a play with it as soon as i get the chance. there are 3 packs of SU stamps and loads of double sided papers plus few other bits an bobs.

i feel so lucky for a change lol

well im usually quite unlucky in the sense that i never win anything lol but i just cant believe it, a few weeks back i won my first ever blog candy which i recieved last week and its great but also have just found out that i have won some more from steph. ***THANKS STEPH *** i will post a piccie when i get it and also when ive created something lovely with it.

a challenge card

this is a wallet card that was made for a swap, and i think it fits this weeks challenge over on ooh la la creations perfectly as the theme is stripes, the image is a penny black and was coloured in with my brush markers, the image is matted up with holographic card and the backing papers i think are from inspirations by papermania??

wow a week with no posts

Sorry i haven't been around much lately ive been under the weather, i have however been blog hopping alot and having a look at your creations, ive just not made much for last few weeks due to this dreaded virus that i cant seem to shift, i had 2 whole weeks of work and went back yesterday, what a mistake i feel that im taking a step back now, and my 3 year old son is getting it now so its a bit miserable in this house at the moment,
im also 32 weeks pregnant so suppose that makes me feel worse for wear too lol,
sorry to rant but i think i needed it as i dont get a whole lot of adult conversation at the moment lol, will be back on form soon i hope and will try to post some creations when ive made some.

a card for 2 challenges

whilst i was able to get some crafting done this morning i decided to have another go at a clallenge as i really enjoy doing them, for this card i chose 2 different challenge blogs, charisma cards which was called cupcake, and dutch dare card challenge no#35 this was called buttons and bows,

abc challenge.....

........A for anniversary, as it is soon to be my 4th anniversary in march i thought it would be perfect to use the challenge from abc challenge for my inspiration,

the image is from third coast stamps i think, its called madamoiselle sophie. i made the blank myself with red card, and punched out some black and red hearts, my hubby likes things nice and simple so i left it like this, what do you think???

doodle do challenge

for this lovely tilda card i went from the challenge blog a spoon full of sugar which was to do some doodling on your design, as you can see ive doodled round most of my edges on this card. the image is tilda with slate, isnt she sooo pretty.

I made this card for 2 different challenges in mind,the sketch is from sketch saturday no 37 and also decided to have a go at the my time to craft challenge which was called going for gold.

Ive won my first ever blog candy i cant believe it and i only just caught the deadline (phew), im not really the lucky type but maybe my luck is starting to change lol because i won £34 on sat on bonus ball at work too,

so i thought id go on the wonder round my blog lists to see what else is around while my luck is in? you know they say it comes in threes??

i had a great day

Well yesterday was my birthday and despite having the rotten cold and cough i actually had a lovely day,i spent a few hours at my mums, and got loads of beautiful cards of my trimmie friends and of course my close friends and family too, im hoping to show you them when ive taken the pics,
Also i got loads of crafting goodies as well YAY i got 5 magnolias an couple other stamps, some rock a blocks,loads of sakura pens and watercolour pens,and some brads,ribbons etc which i bought myself lol (you cant leave it to these men well not mine anyway), although this year he did good and got me some software from hallmark with loads of other images an project ideas on for cards etc. later on ill take a photo of those too so you can have a peek,
last night my hubby took me to our fave thai restaurant, and as usual it was fab. so today its back to normal lol, but later im going to have a play with all my yummy new stuff,

bartender edwin

I decided to give Edwin a bit of fresh air today and made a card with him, isnt he soo cute? i coloured him in using my brush markers and sakura pens inked up the edges with bronze ink, mounted him on some pearly finish browny/bronze card and some purple card,then i found some lovely brown spotty ribbon so thought that might look nice, i stamped up one of my penny black greetings and layered that the same as the image, the border at the botttom is from the kanban mens range of sticky borders.

friday sketchers no 37

over on http://fridaysketchersblog.blogspot.com/2009/01/friday-sketchers-sketch-37-sponsored-by.html i decided to use my new tilda stamp for this card i coloured image with brush markers, the chipboard greeting is from pocket full of posies range, and as usual ive doodled around all the edges with my sakura pens,and to finish ive just put 2 purple gems on.

I thought id try get my creative juices going again as like so many others i seem to have the dreaded cold, firstly i went with the challenge from http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/2009/01/week-34-circle-card.html which was to have a go with a circle card, i initially thought this was easy but making it look good was very hard indeed, im still not pleased with finished product,

and also this card was made with another challenge in mind from http://stampchallenges.blogspot.com/2009/01/summer-in-winter-somethings-challenge.html

here they were asking for something with a summery theme/colours,

To make this card i just used my compass to make the circle (its been years since ive used one as well lol) the papers are from the retro floral dovecraft range, image and greeting are from pennyblack, i put paper flowers all the way round and small gems in the middle for the summery feel, and job done.

some dodgy old cards for a laugh

i was having a look on nikki's blog http://nikkiscardsandnews.blogspot.com/ and she was showing some of her first creations and she didnt like them lol, she asked for comments and for you to put some of your old ones on your blog and link up with her so she could have a look, i thought why not it will be fun so heres some of mine.as you can see they are bagged up so habve some shine on them but you can still see the awfulness lol.

a new baby girl cardfor my friend

Firstly sorry about the photo, i just couldnt get the lighting right, the card is much more pink in colour than pic shows,

I made this card for a member of the family who have just had a baby girl, i made my own a5 card blank and put some lovely pink backing paper on that i got from a magazine,

the main image is a glitter transfer rub on, these were from the pound shop but are really good, you cant see the glitter on them well from the pic but its there, i used some white organza ribbon and matted up the image and foam squares on the back for the 3d effect, i put the babies name and weight on as i think this is a lovely touch, and silver peeloffs around the outside of the card,

Inside i made a little wallet for the first curl, i thought they might like to save thier baby cards as i did??

a valentines card

This card was made with two challenges in mind.

Firstly the challenge here at http://charismacardz.blogspot.com/ was to make something with the colours black and white plus one other colour of your choice,

and http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/ which was to make a valentines card,

I used the dovecraft charcoal prints as backing paper, a dovecraft chipboard sticker and some red ribbon as my other chosen colour was red, i then stamped out a love heart with one of the heart foam stamps that i got free with papercraft inspirations magazine, used red embossing powder on it and matted it onto red card, all the doodling is with my sakura pans, i inked up the edges of the backing paper with red ink and thats it,

another challenge card

Here is my card that i made for 3 challenges combined.

I have worked from http://abc-challenge.blogspot.com/ which was Y is for yesteryear which was basically wanting you to use a stamp you have had for ages, i chose to use my see ds backing stamp with flowers on which i got of ebay as a set when i very first started out about 14 months ago and also the image stamp ive had for about 12 months, i got it from craft central but doesnt have a make on it so not sure where its from,might be a papermania or anitas attic????

I also went of the theme on http://dutchdare-cardchallenges.blogspot.com/ which were asking you to make a thankyou card.
And finally i chose to use the sketch from http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/ as it looked like a really nice sketch to work with.

cowboy card for my friends little boy

I made this card for my friends little boy who will be 3 this week, i used my cowboy stamp from the alota stamping range and matted it up with some blue card, put some ribbon on it, i made my own 3 and coloured it in, and used my shiney card to put his name on, as i love to doodle i used white on the coloured parts and blue on the white card, hope it worked???
