wow my 3rd challenge card today

Im quite surprised with myself, ive struggled to make anything for weeks and now ive done 3 in one day thats really good for me lol, this challenge was made for

http://charismacardz.blogspot.com/2009/01/charisma-cardz-challenge-number-1.html its the first time ive come across this challenge blog and i liked what i saw,all you had to do to enter this challenge was make something with pink, so i got my thinking hat on and came up with this,

To make this card i cut out my own card blank with pink card and used backing paper from the dovecraft kids range, put some silver peel offs around the edges to give it a border, then used a topper i got from a local store of an fairy, then put some fibre on the bottom and made my own tag for the greeting.

Another challenge card done

I thought since i seem to have got my creative flow back (for a little while at least anyway lol) that i would have a go at another challenge blog, this time i chose http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/ for this challenge all you had to do was create something using anything you had for christmas, well obviously i chose to do a card as thats my thing lol,

To make this card i used backing paper from the pocket full of posies mat stack which i had for christmas, and coloured a cute companion stamp that i had swapped with a friend using my watercolour pencils and my new sakura pens in part.
I put gems down the sides which i got from a pound shop and finished off with some of my flowers from my laura ashley stash,
i inked up the sides and used my shimmer chalks to complete the look.

penny black saturday challenge

this is my first challenge in a while due to all the decorating an christmas, i chose to start by doing a penny black challenge as im a big fan of penny black stamps lol,
To make this card i embossed some holograpic card with the hearts pattern, and used some red ribbon i got from a kit i bought from costco, the image was coloured in with my watercolour pens and stickles used on the rose, the text is rub-ons i got from a pound shop, i made my own card blank from some pearlescent card i have in my stock, i was really pleased with it when i had finished, take a look at the other entries on http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/

belated happy new year to all

Well firstly i would like to wish everyone a belated happy new year, ive big plans for 2009, with my second child expected in april,ive not made any cards for about 2 weeks so havent anything new to show you,
We have been decorating our bedroom and we knocked out our chimney breast so its been a big job, but now its pretty much finished "YAY " ive also had no where to craft because my desk was completely covered with allsorts of things lol,
Ive lost my crafting room now too, so to make space for the nursery but my hubby got me a little desk from ikea that fits in our bedroom and last night i moved all my things in and tidied them so im thinking my crafting mojo is soon to return lol, it actually looks pretty good, ive put loads of bits in our new wardrobe so not on show as my hubby hates clutter and isnt a big fan of my hobby lol.
Anyway enough of my chit chat lol hopefully i will soon have some cards etc to show you?

above are a few of my new cards, various types, ive not had much time on my hands for crafting of late and we are decorating at the moment so all the clothes and furniture etc have gone in craft room so cant even get in there now lol, will get back into it after christmas hopefully, then when new baby arives not sure how i will fit everything in lol.

cute card thursday challenge

Here is my random design card for this weeks challenge, i used a penny black stamp for this as i love them, and all other stamps to think of it lol, and some organza ribbon to jazz it up, the paper was out of a special paper pack i bought from the works,

MEN (gggrrrrrr)

well to start things of those pictures i wanted to show you all of the new christmas cards i'd made (and was rather proud of) have gone forever (boo hoo) as my hubby didn't actually save them as he had been sure he'd done, and now i have made some new creations to upload that i have saved to my own pc he has lost the cable so no pictures yet im afraid grrrr, i will upload when it comes to light.

i will be around looking at blogs and making the odd card but as its christmas i wont be online regular as we are sooo busy, were also decorating our bedroom (i know what a time to do this)

im also getting quite tired these days with the pregnancy but all is well so shouldn't complain,
so anyway to finish my ramblings i want to wish all my blog visitors a very merry christmas, have a great day with family/friends etc, and i will see you all very soon

my little boys crafting at pre-school

Isnt this just the cutest thing you ever seen? my little boy who isnt quite 3 yet came home from pre-school with this piece of art, i was quite surprised as

its really good for his age i actually checked to see if it was his but it was, he was soo pleased with himself too. it thought id put it on here as i would consider it crafting lol. what do you think? do i have a budding crafter on my hands?

new baby card

this is a card i made for a member of the family, i used the jollynation new mum decoupage sheet, i think its really nice, and my dovecraft kids backing paper, silver peel offs for the name etc.

they were really pleased with it as id put babies name and weight on it to make it personal. it was a quick fix to be honest as id forgot about the card, but i think it turned out alright?

just a chat

well i went to put my christmas cards on my blog for you too see and my daft hubby had deleted them grrr, what can you do he's only a man, luckily he had saved them to his laptop first but i am still waiting for him to copy them on to mine so i can show them to you.

also ive not been around much lately as ive been concentrating my time trying to sell some of our unwanted new and used stuff on ebay to try and help pay for this christmas, so must apologise if there hasn't been alot of activity here lately,

im off for a mexican tonight with my work friends and im hoping to wind down and chill out iin the process? and get cracking with my cards again,

ive also ordered a guillotine so still awaiting its arrival, im hoping to get it soon as im making some notebooks etc for christmas, anyway enough of the rambling i think, lol

I'm really pleased with myself at the moment, when i went to work yesterday one of my colleagues bought a couple of my cards but also asked me to make her at least 10 for Xmas, i couldn't believe my luck as things have been a bit slow lately,you know what its like you have alot of work on one moment and nothing for ages lol. so Ive just got to get making them now, she just wants some of my more simpler designs so shouldn't take me too long to do, i need to go and get some stickles though because theres 2 colours i really want and don't yet have so I'm going to get some later. i will post some pics when i have made them to show you what Ive done,

new look for my blog

well how do you like my new blog face lift? i think it was well needed as it was a bit too pink, my very good friend Jilly at http://jillyscreations.blogspot.com/ did it for me this morning over a cuppa, i picked all the elements but she applied them for me, I'm really pleased with it.

all day christmas craftathon

a couple of weeks ago i went to an all day craft class where we concentrated on making Christmas cards, during the class we were shown 4 different type of folds (PICTURED ABOVE) to use when making our cards, we were supposed to be making 6 cards but due to far to much chatting (as you do) and a bit of a skill mix we just did the 4, it was a really good day and well worth the £30 as we had buffet dinner and drinks plus a goody bag at the end, this was all done by phill who is on the trimcraft forum but runs his own shop in notts and also has a online shop http://honeypotcrafts.co.uk/index.html he sells penny black/woodware/BIA and loads of other treats we would all love to own lol,

not been around much this last week

Well its been a busy week for me, Ive have had a few nights out to go to and my little boy Alex is poorly with a cough and cold bless him he is only 3, and now i seem to be catching it too.
Also Ive been concentrating most of my time helping him with his potty/toilet training, he has been without a nappy for a week I'm so proud of him, considering he's ill he has done brilliantly.

On a more crafting note Ive finally had a play with my BIA which Ive had for few weeks, but i really need a guillotine to cut my own pages as Ive been struggling alot to make them all pristine, any advice in type would be appreciated lol, and also managed to do a couple of Xmas cards so not done too badly,
