baby easel card.

Here is a easel card i made with some really old stash i found, the jolly nation die cut decoupage sheets i bought yonks ago, now im not keen on the backing papers at all to be honest but i thought id better use some of them as well seeing as they match. The sentiment is a stamping up one and the papers are from forever friends stack, as you can see ive used my card candy again, i do love that stuff, it goes such a long way and isnt very expensive,

To hold the card up ive used satin ribbon with a teddy bear button that elke gave to me, and thought that using the nesties on only part on the decoupage looked better than using a bigger oval.and the overall size is basically an a6 blank,

Challenges

One stop - button and bows

Charisma - boy oh boy

A bit of die cut decoupage for ya

Decoupage is not everyones cuppa tea is it, with stamping and digi's being extremely popular, (with me too lol) you dont see much decoupage about, but i think its nice to do lots of different styles, including those forgotten ones, and it can look so lovely with the right embellies.

Here is a card ive made with some lovely die cut decoupage that i got on sale at craft central, added a bit of martha stewart and some dcwv blossoms and butterfly card stock, a bit of white grossgrain ribbon oh and some liquid pearls and job done

Here is a side view, now dont ya think thats nice, with all the depth?

if friends were flowers

Yes im like buses, no posts for a day or 2 then several in 1 day lol, i just have a few to show you, and this one i really like actually it was meant to be for a Dt card but i didnt read the theme properly lol so here it is to show you, i used my good old dcwv butterfly and blossoms card stack which i have had for ages and just recently found out, i forgot how lovely those patterns are.And yep this beautiful butterfly is another of the cardmadfairy's digi images and its a pleasure to use, ive coloured it in with promarkers then gone over it in part with my souffle sakura pen to give it an embossed feel, added stickles to the body, then once dry popped on some glossy accents, and gems for the antennaIve used my beloved nesties for this and the sentiment and card candy is from craftworkcards, the orangey gold shimmery card i used for the matting was given me from a friend of mine its specialist card from an indian shop, and its gorgeous so i only use it sparingly. ive used the same sakura pen for the faux stitching. and popped finished article onto a 5x5 inch scallop card blank which came from samuel taylors.

There are a few challenges i want to enter this card into,

OSAAT - bling it on
Sweet stamping - in the garden
Paperplay - sparkles galore
Truly scrumptious - anything goes

Penny's - anything goes

Creative belli - the letter "S" ( sakura/stickles/scallops/sparkle)

I find following challenges help me a great deal so want to say thankyou for all your inspiration

Party your pants off

This was made for the daughter of a friend of mines 16th birthday so i wanted to make something a bit sparkly, she loves dancing and singing and generally partying etc, as you can imagine from a sixteen year old these days, I put glitter in the bodice to add some bling but actually you cant see it too well on this photo, but trust me it looked stunning, i used silver embossing powder,The sentiments are from the creative expressions stamp sets which i have loads of, and the feathers have been neglected in my stash for quite some time, i thought it gave a bit of a dance/music theme. the pink satin ribbon was from craft central as is most of my ribbon lol, and the papers are from dcwv dressed up.
