monday morning crafting session with jilly

as usual on a Monday morning me and Jilly choose a challenge to do and both had a go at it together its a really good way to see how different a card can look even when you have used same sketch, well yesterday we chose sketch 21 on http://fridaysketchersblog.blogspot.com/ this is my card above i used the Laura Ashley papers and one of my penny black stamps, i wasn't at all sure i liked it to start with but changed my mind when it was finished, why not go and have a look at Jilly's card over on her blog http://jillyscreations.blogspot.com/ see how she did the same sketch differently,

these are some of my most recent efforts and actually im rather pleased with them!

the first one i made for a family members 18th he is a training chef so i used some backing paper i got free with a magazine and the second one i made today after getting some inspiration from a card i made of a challenge blog which i havent uploaded as of yet,the colour hasnt come out too well but its actually black and white with some silver on it.

im a very lucky girl

I cant quite believe it yet, its still sinking in lol but my darling hubby has bought me my very own laptop ;.) im absolutely amazed lol, ive been asking for one for ages but he always laughed at me, but then our pc broke down and we decided to get a shared laptop but then out of the blue he said i could have my own and he bought a second hand one of a friend and i had a new one (wahey) he has also let me buy all the bind it all stuff to (double wahey) you would start to think he's feeling guilty for something but i know the real reason lol, he is upgrading the motorbike to his dream bike so he's trying to make amends for spending a fortune on that,
well im taking advantage whilst i can, this wont last for long....

crafting morning

on monday me and my friend jilly had a crafting session, as im struggling with inspiration at the moment we decided to have a go at one of the blog challenges, after having a look at several we chose http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/ as our source. we had a lot of fun as this is a mans card but no blue lol its a lot harder than we thought because as we looked through my masculine backing papers we realised they were all blue in one way or another so we made our own backgrounds lol, i made mine by cutting out a piece of card and stamping the bakground on with my see ds stamps, i was really pleased with the outcome, i used my penny black stamp from the bubbly range and used my white pen to add depth, i was really pleased with the result, to see jilly's interpretation of the same theme take a look here http://jillyscreations.blogspot.com/ we will try to make this a regular thing if our little boys will let us lol.

craft central bargains

ive just called in to craft central in derby today and they are selling thier anitas and papermania stamps and some other papermania stuff on buy one get one free, some bargains to be had there i had to buy some stamps as im a bit of a stamping addict lol, i got 5 stamps a 6x6 paper pad and some brads for £9 not bad value i think.

here are a few cards ive made in the recent past,the last one was for a challeng on one of my old card craft groups, its a iris fold train ad is cotton wool for the steam, actually like this one lol.

well im finally starting to get the hang of this blogging lark

thanks to my good friend jilly who is the master of MY computer lol im slowly getting the hang of how to do my blog, its still not too exciting right now but hopefully ill be having a go at some blog challenges etc over the next few weeks???? well that is if i can remember how jilly told me to do it lol. if im actually lucky enough that someone other than me is reading this please add me to yours and ill do the same.
