Hi folks well its rotten and snowy here i know im a misery lol, Hubby's car wouldnt start when it was time to go back to london for work so he has had to take mine, so im stuck in with snow and 2 small kiddies.......not good,

well on the upside ive been making some jewellery and considering ive only been doing it for 2 weeks i think im improving???

Now id love some feedback from all you lovely peeps,

If you dont make jewellery do you think the colours go well together and if you do make jewellery what could i do to improve my techniques.

my brothers birthday card

Its my baby brothers 14th birthday today and i forgot to make him a card (oopsie)

so last minute i had to add a few bits to a half made card id started, he seemed to like it anyway,

I was overjoyed when debs from the crafty pad asked me to join as a GDT for this challenge, i love their challenges and of course said yes,

Well among the madness that is the craft show at the nec, we managed a brief chat with some fellow trimmies, it was fab to meet folks who ive chatted to online but never actually met,

I wanted to make something different to a card so i got out my little calendars for next year and made this,

If you cant tell its a wall hanging calendar, ive made it with these colours for a reason as its a gift and im going to make a few of them with different colors and styles for different people to match there tastes.

Some handmade earrings, my first attempt

I know the pics arent great, but after about 5 goes i got fed up lol.

I ordered some bits an bobs to try making some jewellery and it arrived this afternoon, well i couldnt wait even a minute and had a go with it straight away,

Here is a pair of earrings i made, i know they arent fab but for a first go i think they are decent enough.

my first attempt at jewellery well a wine glass charm anyway lol for few challenges also SSS/CCT/SCSC/ABC

Thanks to my lovely crafty friend elke i have made my first pieces of jewellery, this piece is a wine glass charm, i have actually made this as part of a gift for christmas but thought it would be ok to include a few challenges?

So these are the challenges,

the stash is all a friends so dont know actual names as yet but watch this space as i have ordered some of my own jewellery stuff ;-)

Fussy and fancy DT call

Over at fussy and fancy they are having a dt call, and want us to show 3 of our fave makes,

now this got me thinking, why not try out lol, the cards i have chosen arent my absolute faves but each of them have a reason for me to choose them,

1st

this one was really hard to decide upon as it was an order for a couple who's birthday were on the same day and the customer wanted 1 card for both of them! i deliberated for ages and came up with this, and guess what they loved it lol. 2nd

I chose this card as the colours an techniques look so nice together

3rd

this card is on my faves list because i just love the colours the images and the person who got it said they really liked it.

i decided to get it put on cd rather than in print as then i have copyright and can print as many as i want in whatever size i wish,

now my eldest doesnt usually smile like that unless he is upto no good lol thats his "it wasnt me" smile,
