Monochrome at Cards for men

Good morning peeps, i almost forgot lol, As per usual im busy with work lol, its crazy manic and chaotic all at the same time, ive just taken on 2 new contracts and they have come with thier own problems lol i get all the good ones lol,

anyway here is the details of our new challenge at Cards for Men....Alan chose this theme and i struggled with it a great deal lol

Our theme is MONOCHROMATIC so thats to make a card for a fella and it needs to be all the same shade of 1 colour!!!

Our sponsor is digital delights and most of the dt have used thier amazing digis but me im afraid i hadnt time to print of and colour in a new image,

Here is my Card for the challenge and as you can see i went for shades of blue.

It was tricky lol but i just about managed it lol (thanks alan lol)

I got out my old dovecraft masculine papers as they are some of the best masculine papers around, ive had these babies for years as i bought 5 or 6 packs of them,

the sentiment is also one of the first set of sentiment die cuts i bought when i started crafting 5 years ago, the image is also an old one, in fact the only new thing on this card is the twine and star buttons lol.

A bit of gardening

Nope im not nuts lol and im not actually gardening in this freezing weather lol, its the theme of my design team card for Cards for men, we have a fabby challenge running from today and the theme is anything goes!!!

apparently the chappie loves all things gardening lol, i struggling with this tbh so googled the image.

Im sorry im late posting my Cards for men design team card!!! i have been on the phone most of the morning taking calls for applicants for the job i have got at the job centre lol and photocopying coshh lol and i forgot till now that i hadnt scheduled it last night, what a naughte dt member i am lol,

well anyway better late than never i guess???

We have a sketch for you this time which you can find over at Cards for men, here is my simple card using the sketch,

There are no patterned papers or anything on this design, just some lovely blue papers and card candi, the twine is really easy to pop on but i think adds that bit extra interest?? i got it from stamping up.

Here is a close up of the image from delicious doodles, i love this image and use it often, its sooo versatile and i reckon good for any fellas card.

Cards For men- Dt card

Here is my design team card for Cards for men, ive been a bit rubbish lately as started work so times been a bit pants for ym crafting, but im slowly getting back upto scratch lol, i hope my card was worth the wait lol!!!!

Our challenge at Cards for men this time round is.....BLACK AND ORANGE

and we are being sponsored by the amazing kenny k whom offered the dt thier images, dontcha just love kenny k cos i sure do!!!

Now i must admit orange and black was a tricky colour combo for me as i dont have lots of orange stash , but i managed to make this card,

its basically black and white with orange emblies.

here is a close up of the promarker coloured kenny k image, isnt she fab!!! my lad alex who is 6 chose it when he won a challenge on here bless him, along with 5 other younger style images,i think he was thinking of me when he chose this one as im a karaoke fanatic lol, the rest he chose where young boy images lol.

To do the ribbon i doudled up on 2 diff styles and twisted them together, i think it looks pretty decent??

YAY we are back !!!!!

Wow can you believe its time for CFM to return to blogland.......lol you didnt think we had gone did you !!!!!

Now the kids are back at school im trying to catch up with all ym dt duties and if you follow my blog you may have seen ive just been accepted to a new dt for digi garden!!! i cantbelieve i have been blessed with being teken to several design teams, when i started crafting and getting serious in my own blog about 3-4 years ago i dint believe i was ever good enough, so i feel i ought to say a really great big thanks to all who pop by from time to time and have a look at my humble blog, for without you all i wouldnt be anywhere,

Oh my gosh!!!!

im late again lol, what can i say ???? my only excuse is ive not really been online at all today!!! as ive been completely embroiled in my new book that im reading!!!!!

here is my card for you, its all monochromatic lol as wanted to keep it in line with the little karate kids ghee lol, i used the charcoal dovecrafts paper pack which ive had forever (about 4yrs)

 And Also got the chance to use my stamping up pennants punch, then all i added was some 1.5 cm satin ribbon,sakura pen for faux stitching, my promarkers and a craft work cards sentiment and thats pretty much it,

I know it may not be everyones cup of tea but im quite pleased with it, maybe i could have added a bit of colour but never mind now lol,

I for one am a major fan of Kenny k images, ther are in my top 5 faves, i say 5 as ive a few companies i love to use,

anyway so for the TEXTURE challenge i have made this 7x5 card, and my texture is as follows

embossed paper/metal charm/ribbon/lots of stickles/metal brads/glossy accents,

so you see there are lots of ways to get texture on your cards or projects but remember they have to be for men or boys lol,

Unfortunately my printer has been poorly for the 4 weeksish so i didnt get to play with one of thier digital images so ive used a dcwv matt stack rub on and distressed all the papers and card stock.

Isnt that a fab sentiment i just had to use it, Now you will see if stuck to the sketch quite rigidly but you can rotate or flip as long as we can still see the sketch.

 I do hope you like what i have made, its quite clean and simple but think for the style its rather appropriate,
